I visited Venice late November 2009 in the hope to have some fog in the laguna and to have the opportunity to make some foggy night scenes. Well, there was no fog at all but a lot of rain - all day long.

This is my last photograph of the black stone waterfall "Skaftafell" - indeed a mystic place. The dark, nearly black basalt stones and hanging basalt columns are very interesting. Especially the combination with the water "beams".
An abstract interpretation of the "Reynisdrangar" basalt rocks. It's just an isolation of one basalt rock combined with a slow shutter speed to get a smooth sea.
